The Tier 1 Plus transit pass program provides fare-free public transportation to all UCLA employees who earn less than $100,000 a year and hold a 43.75% appointment or higher.
The pass includes unlimited rides on the Antelope Valley Transit, LADOT, Santa Clarita Transit, and Long Beach Transit commuter express lines. Pass holders can also enjoy unlimited rides on 13 select transit agencies throughout LA County including all of the local lines serving campus: Los Angeles Metro bus and rail lines plus the Metro Micro on-demand rideshare service, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, and Culver CityBus.
Supported by $3.5 million in grant funding from the California State Transportation Agency’s Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program, the Tier 1 Plus transit pass program will continue until funds are exhausted.
(The Tier 1 Plus transit pass program currently replaces the Tier 1transit pass program for employees within UCLA Administration and a small number of select departments who earned up to $67, 000 per year.)
