Commencement Parking

Due to a construction project on Gayley Ave. and Strathmore Pl. traffic will be impacted in the area.

Parking Permit System: Bruin ePermit

UCLA Transportation utilizes the Bruin ePermit System, where your license plate serves as your parking permit. Think of it like a supermarket scanner: your license plate acts as the barcode. When scanned, the system automatically checks against the parking database to verify a valid permit for your parking location.

Important Details

  • Purchase in Advance: Students and guests attending the 2025 Commencement ceremonies can buy parking permits online through the Bruin ePermit Event Parking Portal starting May 1. To skip long lines at the self-service pay stations on campus, we recommend purchasing your parking permit ahead of attending the Commencement ceremonies.
  • High Demand: Commencement parking spaces fill up quickly in the parking structures. Vehicles are parked on a first come, first served basis. Plan your commute accordingly and arrive to campus at least 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony. You may be redirected to an alternate parking area, in which case no additional permit is needed.

Parking Availability

  • Thursday, June 12: Available in Parking Structures 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7.
  • Friday, June 13: Available in Parking Structures 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9.
  • Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15: Available in Parking Structures 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and SV.

Permit Guidelines

  • Multiple Selection: If you will be attending ceremonies on multiple dates, you may select multiple dates for parking.
  • License Plate Validity: Each permit is valid for one license plate per vehicle on the selected date(s).
  • Non-Refundable & Non-Transferrable: Parking permits cannot be refunded or transferred.

Accessible Parking (ADA)

  • Valid Permit Required: All customers must purchase a valid parking permit to park on campus.
  • DP Placard or DP License Plate: If you have/purchase a valid UCLA parking permit, ensure that it is associated with your vehicle along with a properly displayed Disabled Person (DP) placard or DP license plate. This helps us ensure that you are properly parked in accessible areas.
    • Where You Can Park: With a valid UCLA permit and displayed DP Placard or DP License Plate, you may park in all campus parking spaces according to your needs including stalls reserved for Blue and X Permits. However, please avoid parking in loading zones, red curbs, gated parking structures, stalls marked “University Vehicles Only”, and areas not specifically designated as parking stalls.
  • Explore Accessible Locations: View the campus parking map to find accessible parking locations based on the area of campus you’ll be visiting.

Additional Options

  • Day-Of Parking: Visitors can also use self-service pay station machines or the ParkMobile app. If using ParkMobile, select Zone 2525.

Remember, all customers must purchase a valid parking permit to park on campus.
