UCLA Policy 813: Starting Fall 2026, all electric personal mobility devices (EPMDs) on campus must be registered with UCLA Transportation. Additionally, any EPMDs stored and/or charged in a campus building must be certified to UL standards and verified for compliance by UCLA Fire.
Step 1: Review critical safety guidelines
UCLA prioritizes the safety of the campus community. Review information on how to safely ride, park, store, and charge your device. You will need to acknowledge this guidance as part of your registration.
Step 2: Register with UCLA Transportation
Registration is required for all EPMDs on campus. Registration helps deter theft, reduce the risk of fire, and help UCPD track down your device if it's stolen.
Step 3 (if applicable): Get your e-device UL verified by UCLA Fire
EPMDs that are stored and/or charged on campus must be certified to UL standards and verified for compliance.
