There's nothing stopping commuters from doing their civic duty this Tuesday, Nov. 4. For today's Statewide Special Election, eligible voters in Los Angeles have options for free transportation to their polling location or ballot drop box. Fare-free rides help create a more equitable and accessible voting experience for all.
No tapping required! Starting Tuesday, Nov. 4, to 3 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, the transit agency will provide free rides on all bus and rail lines. On-demand rideshare service Metro Micro will provide free rides as well, with code Vote25. The service provides short trips within its eight zones across LA County.
Or, pedal there! Metro Bike Share will offer free rides on Election Day, too. Visit any bike station on Nov. 4 to get a single free ride. Select '1-Ride' and use code 110425 to redeem at the station kiosk, in the app, or online. The free offer covers a 30-minute ride. Ride for an additional $1.75 per 30 minutes after the first half hour.
Vote-by-mail ballot drop boxes are located at several Metro stations.
