Looking to bike on campus? You've arrived at the right spot! There are several resources for riding at UCLA. Everything from extensive bike parking and Metro Bike Share stations to a fully equipped bike shop with repair services, making it "as easy as riding a bike" for Bruins.
Bike Parking and Security
Over 3,500 free bike parking spaces are available in racks all over campus, including secure Bikeep racks. BikeLink lockers are also available to rent for only a few cents per hour.
Metro Bike Share
Metro Bike Share stations on campus are located at Gateway Plaza, Perloff Hall, Drake Stadium, Westwood Village, Weyburn Terrace, and University Village on Sawtelle. They provide easy and affordable access to over 200 stations throughout Downtown LA, Central LA, and the Westside regions.
Earn-A-Bike
The Earn-A-Bike program gives eligible employees the opportunity to receive a free $900 bicycle package in exchange for their parking permit. Participants can choose a standard hybrid commuter bike from Helen's Cycles in Santa Monica or The Bike Center.
UCLA Bike Shop
The UCLA Bike Shop offers repairs from trained bicycle mechanics, a DIY workshop, and monthly classes such as bike commuter basics and fixing a flat bike tire.
Discounts at Local Bike Shops
Helen's Cycles and The Bike Center in Santa Monica provide in-store discounts for UCLA affiliates who show their BruinCard at the time of purchase. Discounts generally apply to services, parts, and accessories. Bicycles are excluded.
UC E-Bike Purchase Program
Bruins are eligible for discounted pricing on multiple styles of e-bikes through the UC E-Bike Purchase Program.
Love to Ride Community
Connect with fellow UCLA cyclists on the Love to Ride platform and get the encouragement you need on your journey to better health. Register for free to win prizes for riding, set personal goals, track your progress, and earn badges for achievements. You can also join a group or create your own and inspire others by sharing your biking stories.
