UCLA Bike Month Returns With Virtual and In-Person Giveaways

Bike Month 2021

UCLA Bike Month is back this May as we celebrate National Bike Month! This year we're encouraging Bruins to try biking for commuting, fun, or fitness with ways to get involved both virtually and in-person.

Biking has gained in popularity over the past year as a way to get outside and exercise during the pandemic. Now that the University is preparing for a return to campus this fall, biking can be considered as a healthy and sustainable commuting option.

Follow along on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram as we share biking tips and how UCLA supports biking to and around campus. We'll also be hosting weekly social media contests where we'll be giving away $25 Amazon gift cards!

Our popular Bike Recycling Day returns on Thursday, May 6, where members of the UCLA community will have an opportunity to receive a used bike or bike parts for FREE. We'll also be hosting a Westwood Pit Stop at the Farmer's Market on Thursday, May 20, where Bruins can come by to get a Bike UCLA drawstring bag and water bottle.

Both in-person giveaways will have safety protocols in place to ensure physical distancing. Participants must wear a face covering and present a valid Bruin ID to receive giveaway items.
