There's no better time to try riding public transit to campus than Sustainable Transportation Month! We could tell you about the many benefits of switching from driving to taking the bus or rail, but don't take it from us. Here's what Bruins have to say about how they've improved their commute by taking transit. .
"You don’t need to buy a tank of gas or pay for parking after struggling to find a spot. You also don’t have to stress about bad LA drivers — you just sit back and relax." - Kimberly Venegas, Luskin School of Public Affairs Graduate Student
“When we arrive on campus we’re not stressed out from driving or looking for a parking space. We hit the ground running in a much better mindset." - Tamar Christensen, UCLA Writing Programs Lecturer
"I'm saving wear and tear on my car, and myself!" - Althea Nelson, UCLA Health Employee
Ready to try transit for your commute to campus? We make it easy with a free quarterly transit pass valid for any of the seven transit agencies serving UCLA. Eligible graduate students also have access to those agencies with the Bruin Grad Pass program.
And be sure to pledge below to take transit or any other form of sustainable transportation during October and you could win a gift card from ASUCLA, Alfred Coffee, Bluestone Lane, Primo's Donuts, and other retailers!
