UCLA will help get you through the new decade by covering a portion of the public transit pass cost, offering a special low price for students. Its a convenient and inexpensive transportation option, with funds automatically loaded on a TAP card that provides unlimited rides all quarter.
Compare UCLA’s Go Metro pass for students at $60-62/quarter to the public cost of $129 for 90 days or $43 for a 30-day College/Vocational pass. Go Metro covers rides on all LA Metro bus and rail lines.
UCLA’s BruinGO! pass for students, good for rides on Santa Monica Big Blue Bus (BBB) and Culver CityBus (CCB), is only $45/quarter versus the public cost of $150 for 90 days on BBB or $50 for a 30-day pass.
With the UCLA Co-Pay option available on BBB and CCB, students ride one way for $0.80 instead of $1.25 on BBB and $1.00 on CCB for single rides.
Riding public transportation has numerous benefits, in addition to affordability. It’s safer than driving a car, reduces traffic congestion, is better for the environment, frees up time to do something productive during the commute and is linked to a healthier lifestyle.
Passes for winter quarter are on sale now and can be purchased online or in-person at the Central Ticket Office for LA Metro, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus and Culver CityBus, LADOT Transit, AVTA, Santa Clarita Transit and Long Beach Transit.
