A Graduate Student Association (GSA) special election is currently being held to determine if the Bruin Grad Pass program will continue for UCLA graduate students.
Bruin Grad Pass provides eligible graduate students with unlimited access to select transit agencies throughout LA County including those serving the UCLA campus: Los Angeles Metro bus and rail lines, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Culver CityBus, Antelope Valley Transit, Santa Clarita Transit, Long Beach Transit, and LADOT Commuter Express.
The pass was originally made possible by a referendum in April 2020 that raised graduate student fees by about $25 per quarter. If passed, the current referendum would lower the fee to $11 per quarter (subject to annual adjustments due to inflation and cost of living increases) and last for 10 years.
Voting for the BruinGo Universal Access Transit Pass Referendum is open in MyUCLA through Tuesday, November 7.
