UCLA Transportation supports the campus community by providing for safe access and mobility options in an environmentally responsible manner. To support this mission, we offer the following amenities:
A complimentary tire inflation station resides on the roof of Parking Structure 8 in the northwest corner for customer use. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we encourage drivers to keep their tires properly inflated in order to improve gas mileage and burn less fuel.
Please note that proper operation of the tire inflation machine is the sole responsibility of the user.
Electric vehicle charging is available on a first come first serve basis for customers to “top off” their vehicle charging. The available options for charging are:
Level 1 chargers provide charging through a 120 V AC plug. Can deliver two to five miles of range per hour of charging. Customers wishing to utilize these charging stations must bring their own plug.
Level 2 chargers provide charging through a 240 V and can deliver 10 to 20 miles of range per hour of charging. They are available for complimentary use with a valid permit for up to four hours of active charging.
Level 3 chargers are available by the hour, are operated by EVgo for an additional fee, and can deliver 60 to 80 miles of range in 20 minutes of charging through a 480 V AC. For more information, please visit EVgo.com.
Please Note: Charging times are dependent on the type of battery, how depleted it is, and its capacity. All-electric vehicles typically have more battery capacity than plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, so charging a fully depleted all-electric vehicle takes longer.
For more information about electric vehicle charging at UCLA, please visit our Electric Vehicle Charging Stations page.
Blue light emergency call boxes are available in all parking facilities and across campus. When the emergency button is activated, it automatically directs the call to the UCLA Police Department and identifies the location of the caller.
It is advisable to walk with others on- and off-campus. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
Additional campus safety resources can be found on the UCLA Safe Ride page.
