Emergency phones are installed in all campus parking lots and structures, allowing for two-way communication between an individual and UCLA Police in case of a personal emergency. This provides an added measure of safety and security for campus visitors, students and employees when moving throughout a parking lot or structure. When the emergency phone is activated, it automatically identifies the exact calling location for UCLA Police.
In addition, ongoing bike patrols of parking lots and structures by UCLA Police and Community Service Officers (CSO), as well as vehicle patrols by UCPD are part of a comprehensive strategy by UCLA Parking to enhance the safety and security of UCLA students, employees, and visitors.
