Starting November 20, 2026, all e‑bikes, e‑scooters, e‑skateboards, and other similar devices must be UL-certified and registered with UCLA Transportation to be used on campus or stored in UCLA-owned housing.
Although registration is not required for rental devices or campus visitors, all devices stored or operated on campus must still be UL-certified. Bruins who register by May 31 will be entered for a chance to win one of five $75 Amazon gift cards.
Device verification and stickering will take place at Sunset Village Plaza on Tuesday, April 14, and Wednesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and during Campus Safety Week on Thursday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bruin Plaza stage area. All UCLA students, faculty, and staff are welcome to drop by and are encouraged to pre-register their UL-certified personal mobility devices as soon as possible to avoid the fall rush.
