Love driving cars? Fast on your feet? Apply to become part of a team of UCLA ambassadors as a valet attendant at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center. We are seeking students to support the arrival and departure of vehicles by greeting visitors and guests, receiving and inspecting customer vehicles, notating damage, issuing valet permits, utilizing designated arrival and departure statements/greetings, driving vehicles to the parking spot, and developing expertise in various parking technologies.

Competitive Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

Flexible Schedule:

  • We work with your availability as much as possible
  • A possibility of up to 20 hours a week

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and driving test
  • Possess and maintain a current California driver’s license and have a good driving record (subject to DMV pull notice)
  • Ability to recognize the importance of dealing diplomatically with the public and the importance of a good public appearance
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Ability to work effectively under continual interruption and changing priorities
  • Skilled in writing grammatically correct documents and synopses
  • Can proficiently speak the English language
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (up to eight hours at a time).

Parking Assistants serve as UCLA ambassadors by providing valuable information about the campus, assisting guests, staff, faculty, and students and selling parking permits to campus visitors. In this position, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic environment by working effectively under continual interruption and changing priorities, providing guidance regarding parking permits and assisting with walk-up and drive-up customers at parking areas across campus. As a Parking Assistant, you will be able to work outdoors and use your skills in exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving.

  • $14.25/hour with promotional opportunities up to $15.00/hour

Want to be at the forefront of events on campus? Apply to become an Event Support Team Member today. You will work on the initial steps of successful events on campus by assisting with the day-to-day parking operations and preparedness of the University for current and upcoming events. Interested in gaining experience in investigative fieldwork? Apply today to become a UCLA Parking Enforcement Operations Assistants. Daily responsibilities include seeing to the upkeep of enforcement vehicles and equipment, as well as maintaining files and documents for the office. Operations Assistants will also play an integral role in traffic control and direction during some of the major campus events. Help uphold the protection of approximately 22,000 parking spaces by enforcing UCLA regulations, while also being fair and courteous at all times, building invaluable experience in customer service, and working with a best-in-class enforcement team.

Pay Rate: $14.25/hour with promotional opportunities up to $15.00/hour

Schedule: on average 20 hours a week

UCLA Parking Services is looking for an individual to be a part of the Operation Coordination team, supporting UCLA by responding to campus alerts and requests regarding parking equipment. Additionally, students will assist with researching and establishing new parking management systems. Leave a lasting mark on UCLA by being a part of a vital daily operations team.

Gain invaluable office experience by performing tasks that require excellent communication skills, initiative, discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to interact with all levels of the University community. Selected candidates will also ensure telephone coverage, message retrieval, and voicemail management. Enhance your skills by preparing support documents for presentations, meetings, and publications using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Pay Rate: $14.25/hour

Schedule: 20 hours a week (2 p.m. - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively under continual interruption and changing priorities
  • Skilled in writing grammatically correct proposals, planning documents, and synopses
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent writing skills to prepare agendas and summarize meeting notes with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish a working relationship with a variety of staff and customers in person as well as on the telephone
