Whether you're a biking beginner or a cycling pro, there's no better time to go for a ride than UCLA Bike Month. Get set with these campus amenities that will have you pedaling in no time.
Bicycling resources on campus include over 3,500 bike parking spaces, secure bike lockers at five campus locations, and seven bicycle repair stands, along with over seven miles of bike routes and lanes.
Programs such as Earn-A-Bike and bike benefits totaling $100 in value encourage Bruins to ride a bike instead of driving as a healthy and sustainable way to get around.
The UCLA Bike Shop offers repairs from trained bicycle mechanics, a DIY workshop, and monthly classes such as bike commuter basics and fixing a flat bike tire.
Metro Bike Share stations at Gateway Plaza, Perloff Hall, Drake Stadium, Westwood Village, Weyburn Terrace, and University Village on Sawtelle, make it easy and affordable to ride and connect with over 200 stations in the DTLA, Central LA, and Westside regions.
Watch below as UCLA's Active Transportation Planner Emily Han tells you how we've been able to make biking better for Bruins, and by doing so earned Gold Bicycle Friendly University status from the League of American Bicyclists.
