Personal Mobility Devices

Starting Friday, Nov. 20, 2026, all electric personal mobility devices stored in UCLA-owned housing and/or used on campus must be UL-certified and registered with UCLA Transportation.

This applies to e-scooters, e‑bikes, e-skateboards and similar devices. Bruins who register by March 31 will be entered for a chance to win one of five $75 Amazon gift cards.

On Friday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., UCLA Transportation will share details about the new registration program and answer questions at a tabling event on the Bruin Plaza patio outside Bruin Plate. Final device verification and stickering events on the Hill will follow on Tuesday, Feb. 10, and Thursday, Feb. 19. See event details below. All UCLA students, faculty, and staff are welcome to drop by and are encouraged to pre-register their UL-certified personal mobility devices as soon as possible to avoid the fall rush.
