Student Payment and Cancellation of Parking Permit

All students have a BruinBill account that displays all charges and payments associated with registration, housing, and transportation charges, as well as other services that are assessed to students. You can access BruinBill through MyUCLA

Payment Method

Students must make a payment online by the relevant payment deadline. If approved for a parking permit, make sure to use one of the following two payment methods:

  • Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express)
  • eCheck (Electronic check) pay with a U.S. checking or savings account with no additional fee applied.

Payment Instructions

Sign in to MyUCLA and pay online by selecting “BruinBill” under Finances and Jobs.  Select the “Make a Payment” box on the bottom of the page and follow the instructions.

If you pay online via BruinBill, your parking permit can be paid by you or any other designated third party, such as parents or guardians. BruinBill allows students to view their lot assignment and balance online at any time.

Refund

Parking permit fees are prorated from the date of issuance of the permit. Prorated refunds are calculated from the date of receipt of the decal(s) or identifiable remnants and any access cards. There are no refunds on weekly or monthly permits.

Transaction Fees for Special Handling

In addition to parking permit fees, a transaction charge is required for special handling. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Replacement of a lost or stolen decal or access card
  • Transfer of a parking permit from one assigned area to another, unless requested by UCLA Transportation
  • Processed permits requested, but never released, returned from departments unopened, or never picked up from UCLA Transportation

Cancellation

University students must cancel their parking permit upon withdrawal, academic leave, or a one-term absence from the University if they paid for parking. The permit must be returned to UCLA Transportation. A prorated refund will be issued per the published permit fee and refund schedule if the permit is returned upon cancellation. Failure to cancel a parking permit gives commute coordinators the authority to request that the permit be canceled. No refund will be issued for permits that have not been properly returned to UCLA Transportation. Once a student has filed a withdrawal notice, for academic leave, or to take a one-term absence, permits are no longer valid for parking. This is true even if the parking has been paid for. If a permit is found in use once it has been canceled, the user will be subject to citations, fines, and other disciplinary action.

If you are canceling your parking permit but will return the subsequent quarter, you do not need to turn in the gate access card.

If you wish to receive a receipt for your parking permit cancellation, you may come to the Transportation Lobby to drop off the permit decal and/or gate access card. Otherwise, you may return all items by mail to UCLA Transportation at 555 Westwood Plaza, Suite 100, Los Angeles, CA 90095, or via Express dropbox (in the breezeway between Parking Structure 8 and Strathmore).
